Maximum Hardening

Maximum Hardening
Hey fellow pro-heroes (and villains),
This week, we are going to dive into a simple action card from Undaunted Raid, Maximum Hardening. This Action is pretty diverse in what you can do with it, may it be that you want to add more damage for the rest of your turns, or play a fun little defense game. Lets take a deeper look.
Set in Earth, Fire and Void, this 2 difficulty, 2 mid block, 5 controls first ability as a Form just gives your attacks +2 damage for the rest of the turn. Not bad, especially if you can find a way to get this action out of your card pool, or have attacks that ignore actions for progressive difficulty. Overall, simple effect.
The response effect is certainly cool. After blocking with this card, the attack gets – 4 damage. Those pesky throws just got weaker, or, when you are partially blocking, reducing the damage you take even further. If you commit a foundation as well, you are able to build this card face down. So, not only are you getting a key block, but also adding to your stage with more resource to use for future blocks, and later turns to push through more cards.
This card is along the line of other Kirishima’s cards both from this set, and the original MHA set, where you are building cards facedown to build up for your big swing.
If you are looking for something a little diverse, think about Maximum Hardening next time.
